The wonders of nature remain alive at Salt Spring island over the winter. Here in Edmonton and surroundings we will wait to see spring burst back into above ground life in a few months. In the meantime, the west coast winter forest images are delightful.

I'm not sure I've ever heard Santa's sleigh identified as a chariot before. I love that and the deep mythology that lies beneath the popular celebration. For myself, I'm reconnecting with the Star of David with its heavenward pointing upper triangle and its earth pointing lower triangle. It's enriching when the deep meaning of images that have become overly familiar is revealed. Thank you, Carol. Wishing you many blessings in the new year.
