Hi there summer pals!
I trust that, like me, you are looking forward to the longest day of 2022. This issue is mostly images, random and playful. Hope you enjoy the pix and I’ll see you on the flip side of the solstice.
Thanks to all who took part in the Give-Away. A couple of folks still have gifts on the way, so if you haven’t received (or sent) yet, please let me know. Thanks so much for playing! Hope it was fun.

I’m finally ready for Summer - just in time for Solstice.
Here’s a random something I put together Sunday afternoon, to welcome summer. See the whole thing in the 8 page pdf, or just take a peek at a few of the images from it, below.
Sumerian, Mayan or …?
I recently spotted these rare artifacts posted online on the Salt Spring Exchange. Because I spend time on archeology Twitter, at first glance I thought they were ancient carved plaques of some sort. Fooled me till I read the description: “Weathertec Chevy Cruze Mats”.
DALL-E MINI strikes again
A fun useless activity I’ve been noodling with on cool rainy days, DALL-E mini. I love how it creates vague impressions from my direct prompts.
I’m not alone in this, people are doing amazing stuff. Here’s Benjamin Hilton’s Dalle-E mini medieval image of wifi not working (from Twitter).
Give a Listen
Part 1 of my interview and reading on Writers Radio of Shamcher’s A Sufi Went to War is now available as a podcast here. Part 2, on his earlier book, Man and This Mysterious Universe, features varied readings by the Writers Radio team, and a continued interview, and is on now at the top of each hour, 24/7, here.
Ready with your summer hats!
Thanks for reading, commenting, and sharing. It means a lot to me.

Lovely photo of you!
Love the photo of you and your dad in the chair. I have one almost exactly like it... I'll send it to you. Almost the same chair, even. Also love seeing the very young version of you.... same twinkly eyes and smile then as now!
The photo on the last page is particularly intriguing... the one with two sort of box-like imitation tea cakes. Did you make those? They have a peculiar effect. Also notice the very special Magic Wand lying on the tray. I think I've seen it before!
