This Newsletter, is fantastic "Marie". I loved it. Except when you referred to yourself as an old lady, (trust me you are not), but I do appreciate "Oldster" . Plus I had forgotten Auntie Mame and "Live, Live, Live". That was a gift. Thank you thank you. Happy Birthday Carol and many more! Let's hear it for your Brother Mike too! Love, RC

I'm asking many happy returns refers to a return in the cycle of the year. Yes? The story of the cake is so tender. I convinced myself that Marie was your original name. Have you been happy with Carol?

Yes the returns are probably the return around the sun. It's Carol for me, since the name "Marie" was the name on the demo of the cake decorating pamphlet, a generic placeholder that we appropriated just for the fun of it. But my mum did want to name me "Clover", before she bowed to something more conventional.

Was your mom a "Clover" kind of person? A little outside the mainstream?

Carol, Julia's birthday is July 20. It's odd how people one resonates with so ofter cluster around the same birthdays, or at least in the same month. What's in a name? I fret for the poor plants which must suffer latin names in order to categorize their wild beauty. Lovely post.
