Writing from the intersection of imagination and reality. Let’s naturally nurture the new year. We can get that oxytocin flowing through the tree of life, here in 2023. This year we can consciously give out to whatever is before us, and receive from it a deeper meaning.
so good to read this. Just as you say, I don’t want more information. I couldn’t agree more. Since the last election, I’ve let go of doing the political work that filled up many many hours every week. I love the analogy of it the new year latching on. Perfect.
I'm so happy to have this gentle, loving piece to read today. Took me a while to get to it, but it was well worth the wait. I love all the nurturing language, the idea that the new year is a baby to be cared for not something that we should make unreasonable demands upon. I saw when I re-read this comment that I had written "well worth the weight." Not sure of that but in the spirit of self-compassion....
Happy New Year Carol, and thank you.
Never too late for a Happy New Year--still ahead, Chinese, Tibetan, and Persian New Years.
